Work on Weakness!

Burpees and running for the big man!

Congrats to DJ! He set a new TF record of 10:08 for "Helen"! Awesome work considering the extra 30M or so he ran per round.

Yesterday’s Open House was a great success. We enjoyed talking and sharing fitness with you.

Dr. Rick and I thank our wives and children for their unwavering love and support.

We also thank all of our family and friends (old and new) that joined us yesterday. We hope you had a good time. Those that were not able to join us, we missed you.

Berg, Fouts, Fuller, Smith, Tuttle, et al, thank you for all of your efforts. Thank you for answering questions and encouraging people.

For many of us yesterday was a new look at fitness and how fun working out can be. I know you are a little sore today and tomorrow might not be fun, but hopefully you will take some of yesterday’s concepts to your future fitness endeavors.

Knowing us, we are likely to have an Open House/BBQ this summer. Continue to workout, have fun and continue reading the site.

Again, thank you very much.

Work on your weakness!

For me, today is Cleans. My squatting, pressing and MetCons have improved. My Olympic lifting has not. As such they will become a focus over the next few weeks to months.

What is your weakness? Today's session will be tailored to help you improve. YES, you. We all know TitanFit's brand of CrossFit is small group personalized training. Today it IS personalized training.

The fine folks of NPR have published a podcast with Mark Rippetoe (URL below). He discusses New years resolution workouts and what he feels are the best ways to get fit. Give it a listen. it is good for all to hear especially those that a new to "real" fitness as he refutes some of the commonly-held fitness myths people hear and take as "gospel" [e.g. ellipticals and LSD (long slow distance) training are great ways to get fit].

Thanks JB for the link.

Work on weakness!

many of us have avoided working on things we do not do well (me-Pull-ups,MetCon). When they come up in a WOD we struggle through but never get better.

Let's get it done, for tomorrow we rest!
